GATHER WITH US

Pastor Bobby Davis

Pastor Bobby Davis started his South County Parish appointment (Divernon, Pawnee, Thayer) on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Previously, Davis served the Three-Rivers Parish (Pleasant Grove, Ellsworth, and Colfax) churches. He is active in the IL Great Rivers Conference, which oversees the central Illinois United Methodist church network, and serves on church camps and several committees.

He grew up in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area where at the age of 14 his faith journey began when he came to know Jesus Christ as his savior. His personal interests include being a St. Louis Cardinals fan, the outdoors, cooking (not the greatest), reading, teaching God’s word, spending time with family, enjoying a cup of coffee, a good conversation, and being a history buff.

HANDS 4 HOPE & GOODWILL MINISTRY PROGRAMS

When a little extra, or hug, is needed during rough life patches, these two ministries can assist individuals and families in the Divernon community. The Hands4Hope program starts in early fall providing warmth to children with coats and nourishes families with Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets.

The Goodwill Program aids those who seek temporary monetary relief when a crisis or unforeseen circumstances occur. With the support from congregation members and the community, we are here for you.
